About Us
World Collision
...like a tree with it's roots deep in the hardest rock, (Zeppelin, Sabbath, Tool) and branches that stretch to the four corners of the known musical universe to include African, Australian, and Indian sounds, and strive to reach the unknown. Lead vocalist, Jett, comes to us from the electronica world of drum and bass, and while her vocals may be reminiscent of Portishead and Bjork, she truly has a sound and style all her own and powerful lyrics. The music is extremely fresh and unique as well, didgeridoo has taken over for the bass guitar, and many unusual stringed instruments are played including sitar, shahi baaja, and hammered dulcimer through a cry-baby pedal. Our drummer made his own kit from logs with a chainsaw, and covers them in animal skins for another unique sound. Our inspiring live performances can include interpretive dance, fire spinning, black light, and can be visually, aurally, and sometimes even aromatically stimulating. "Trancention" is the debut album by World Collision as a full band, and is 76 minutes of well composed, engaging, and memorable music, come take a little trip with us...

Basic Requirements for Live Performances:
For venues who are providing a PA system, World Collision has a bass heavy sound. The bass they are trying to achieve is tight and punchy. By nature of some of the instruments played, clear bass is a necessity. A mixer that accepts a minimum of 18 microphone inputs is required for any medium to large indoor and all outdoor events. STAGE MONITORS are a necessity!

Additionally, any house provided drum kits must be removed prior to the arrival of World Collision. The drum kit used in World Collision is Custom Made with a Unique Sound, which can not be replicated by a traditional kit. Removal of the house kit will aid in and reduce setup time, thus keeping the show on schedule.
