The spirit winds blown by the breath of fate have brought these six musicians together. Home's members hail from Wisconsin, Texas, and Colorado, giving them a vast array of musical flavors and styles.
Their family dynamic is very apparent through their visible love, and on stage communication, creating an incredibly energetic, emotional, and passionate show. Home is quickly blowing up the Denver music scene. Within four months of forming their current arrangement Home performed for one of the largest crowds in Sancho's Broken Arrow's history, packing the small bar with over 450 people on a monday night, and recently headlined a friday night show at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom! July 07 Home played the 10KLF to the largest crowd at the saloon stage at noon in two years! After returning from the festival HOME was invited to play WookieFoot's Harvest Fest on the main stage! In Aug. of 07' home won the judges vote in a battle of the bands with over 250 goups and a prize of $10,000.00
Home also has a good amount of touring under their belt, traveling 1,100 miles almost a dozen times to play shows across the midwest receiving rave reviews, while developing a strong following. Home has also been featured on the front page of the Shawano Leader Newspaper, in Local WI Radio, and featured in KCUV's CO homegrown segment.
Homes future consists of tours, tours, tours and more tours! Meeting wonderful people and sending a message of peace, love, and freedom is a passion for all of Home. All the while continuing to groove audiences with their funky improvisations, and sonic harmonies.
Although not fully encompassing, some of their influences include the following: The Yonder Mountain String Band, The Grateful Dead, Ravi Shankar, The Doors, Miles Davis, Jim Croce, Del Mccoury band, Moe, Phish, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Tool, Michael Jackson, Blind Melon, Radiohead, Metallica, Umphrey's McGee, The Allman Brothers, Dave Matthews Band, Leftfield, Atmosphere, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Eric Clapton, Chris Theile, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, and entirely too many more to mention.
Thriving from such eclectic roots, spawning a style all their own, this is a "Folkadelic Jamgrass Funkplosion" that will make anyone feel at home. |
