Howdy Riders-
It's been feeling like Fall around Colorado the last couple of
days but we're hoping to squeeze a little more out of Summer yet and then celebrate
harvest time! Taxi is playing around their home state of Colorado this
weekend beginning with a couple of surprise shows put on by GAT's alter ego and
little brother The Apex Foragers. We will be at the Stage Stop in Rollinsville, CO
tonight at 9:30 pm and then tomorrow afternoon at Cactus Jack's in Evergreen, CO
from 1-4 pm on our way to Steamboat Springs. The Electric Ave Music Festival
is happening down in Denver this weekend and we'll be there on Sunday and then
a free show in Boulder on Monday at the Hometown Fair at the corner of Broadway
and Canyon. After the weekend it's on to the MIdwest and Southeast for a bunch
of shows and we'll also be stopppng in Nashville to do some recording with our good
buddy Todd Snider who is working on a Jerry Jeff Walker tribute album with Don
Was.
Taxi will be
taking things light during the month of Ocotober to rest a bit after 150 shows already
this year and we will be starting work on the next album as a follow-up to their
2010 critically acclaimed release "Reckless Habits" (which you can still
buy at our website and at the shows). We hope you all have a wonderful holiday
weekend. We're looking forward to boogieing down with a bunch of you.
Keep in touch, all the very best to you and yours.
Great
American Taxi
