Nashville, TN- Bobby Bare Jr. and Blue Giant kick off the “Carpool America” tour tomorrow in Memphis, TN. Blue Giant will open the shows and serve as his back up band along with Bare’s drummer Matt Martin. The 24-city tour will kick start in Memphis, TN on August 24^th and end in Minneapolis on October 9^th. Bare also has dates wtih Justin Townes Earle and Drive-By Truckers.

 

Bare will release A Storm-A Tree-My Mother’s Head on August 31, 2010.   It will be Bare’s sixth album and his first in nearly four years.  A Storm-A Tree-My Mother’s Head was co-produced by Bare and David Vandervelde (Jay Bennett). Bare also produced Twistable, Turnable Man: A Tribute to the Songs of Shel Silverstein a tribute album in memory of his close friend and mentor, Shel Silverstein.
