Hailing from Boston, MA singer/songwriter Matt Chase has been playing his original music in clubs throughout the Northeast over the past six years. A Berklee College of Music grad Matt has recorded 2 full length albums and is currently promoting his third, A Better Place.
Playing mostly with a trio featuring Sam Chase on drums and Tim Paul Weiner on bass. Matt does not put on your typical singer/songwriter performance. Interweaving musical genres such as rock, jazz, and country Matt's music brings a raw, high energy, yet sophisticated sound to the stage. The trio combines excellent instrumental skills with strong vocal harmonies that truly separate them from other artists.
Matt's music has been described as "sounding like" musicians ranging from David Gray, to Sting, to Widespread Panic. But there is no doubting that he has developed an original sound and one that cannot be labeled as a copycat. Matt's strong writing skills are demonstrated throughout his portfolio which consists of over 100 songs. |
