| Dubbed "an improvisational frenzy" by the UC News Record, Chick Pimp is an alternative jazz band that is neither "fusion" nor "jamband". Three months into its conception, the band was immediately thrown into the Cincinnati music festival frenzy performing at Ohmstead and Adjust Your Eyes in 2006. The band made an immediate impact as musicians that can improvise, but has since proven to be much more than an improv troupe. Home-based electronica compositions and heavily-folk influenced songwriting have taken the band to new heights. After another summer filled with festival yummies, the band is planning to release dual EPs in 2008, "The Juan Cosby Sessions" and "The Infinite Ozone Jazz Midi Orchestra". |
